Saints & Scoundrels: Twenty-seven, FUN, Short Stories of Colorful Characters of Arizona: Colorful Characters of Arizona

Entertaining short stories of men and women from around Arizona. As wild as some of the stories seem, they are all true! Take John Shaw for instance. He died a thief and was buried- then dug up by the gang of cowboys he robbed to be given one last drink of whiskey- AND it was captured on film in 1905! Read also about: Arizona’s lovable outlaw, Climax Jim, who successfully escaped numerous prison cells. Dollie Wiley and her revolving door of husbands mixed with her faithful and constant companions- diamonds and rat poison. The amazing Navajo Code Talkers and their vital role in WWII. Hi-Jolly, the man who tended a herd of camels in western Arizona. The honeymoon disappearance of Glen and Bessie Hyde during their adventure on the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon.

Some incredible stories discovered in this book- short and sweet about each character but all interesting.
