He alternated between stealing cattle, stealing horses, and getting caught. His numerous and remarkable jail breaks were equally entertaining. He once bragged that he had “busted out of every jail in the Arizona Territory except the dreaded “Hell Hole,” the Yuma Territorial Prison.
