This is the true, (10 minute read) story of a slave named Jackson. Jackson was the personal barber to William King, a plantation owner from Alabama. King was active in politics and would eventually become the Vice President of the Untied States in 1852.
Jackson escaped the first time while in Washington D.C. He was captured and sent back to Alabama. His second, very creative escape is guaranteed to make you laugh! A short biographical insert about William King is included.
